Summary

The Lean Leader will serve as Lean change agent at site; ensure a consistent, rapid and successful deployment of Lean at an assigned large account.

The Lean Leader will use the Lean principles to train employees, develop lean transformation/continuous improvement plans addressing critical site needs, identify opportunities for improvement, execute improvement projects through value stream maps/Kaizen facilitation and employee engagement at all levels within assigned site.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead, deliver and drive Lean initiatives and strategies for a 1.5M sq/ft facility and other large facilities for the customer account.

Experience Highlights:

•Facilitation of site specific Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events

•Utilization of 5S and Root Cause Analysis tools (Fishbone diagrams, 5 Why’s, etc.)

•Design and delivery of ‘Standard Work’ procedures and ‘Status at a Glance’ visualizations

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in business, logistics, transportation. A combination of other education and experiences will be considered.

  • Five (5) years or more in the management of warehouse and/or transportation operations required
