The Project Specialist supports the IT PMO around the efforts of project coordination, resource management, financials and time accounting.

Essential Functions

  • Gather and organize the preparation of capital planning materials to support IT portfolio project managers, including managing the capital plan site content.

  • Support IT financial activities such as producing the monthly financial recovery report and processing project and vendor invoices.

  • Coordinate and manage the IT Project Opportunity Assessment intake process.

  • Work with IT Finance and Fixed Assets to support IT project managers with project coordination activities.

  • Provide content management of enterprise-wide project management guidelines, standards, tools, methodologies and reports.

  • Provide data repository support for filing, record keeping and retrieval of metrics for scorecard reporting

  • Support the on-boarding process of new employees in the IT PMO department.

  • Perform supporting administrative tasks in Clarity.

  • Assist Kaizen and Six Sigma team.

  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, highly organized, with excellent time management and planning skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in order to achieve desired results

  • Able to manage multiple projects to timelines

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices


  • Bachelor's degree required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required

  • Two (2) years or more IT, Finance, and/or Accounting experience required

  • Experience using SharePoint, MS Project and Clarity required

  • Experience in IT processes and frameworks from ITGI (CobiT), ITIL, SEI (CMMi), ISO and Microsoft (MOF) a plus preferred
