Ryder System Class A CDL Driver in Springfield, Oregon

Position Description

Immediate opening for a Regional CDL Class A Dedicated Truck Driver in Springfield OR and we want the right Driver to join us at Ryder.

We will buy your truck! If you’re looking to switch from Owner Operator to Company Driver, we can help make the switch even easier!

  • Average $1500+ or more per week

  • Average Work Week 35 - 60 Hours

  • Deliver to: OR, WA, ID and MT

  • 2 - 3 nights layover per week

  • Sign On Bonus: $5000 pays half at 30 days and half at 90 days

  • Retention Bonus: $5000 pays half at 6 months and half at 12 months

  • Paid Training

  • PTO Starts DAY ONE - Two weeks

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician.

Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck.

  • Trailer Type: 24', 31', 40', 48' and 53' Dry Van

  • Freight: Touch -Hardware Retail Deliveries

  • New Sleeper Tractors with Refrigerators

  • Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful

  • Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack

  • We Reimburse Cost to Obtain Endorsements and Provide Training

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age

  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test

  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

  • Pass a DOT physical

  • Pass a Ryder road test

  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position

  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:

  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR

  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs

  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer

  • Performs other duties as assigned
