Job Description
Schedule inbound trailers to the dock
In report material on the customers Host System
Act as a trouble-shooter for material that cannot be processed through normal channels by Deere personnel
Handle the processing of "hot" parts
Handle field calls and answer questions regarding material that flows through the cross dock
Update material flow information in the cross dock database, monitor non-conformance by suppliers/carriers and record those issues in an Issues Database
Ensure that material flows smoothly and efficiently through the cross dock.
Ensure that information is shared timely with personnel from GM and Ryder
Customer service and processing of administrative functions
Creation and distribution of Excel reports
Organizing, filing, and general clerical work
Answering the telephone with professional courtesy
Review/Respond to part Mins/shortages
Perform accurate inventory counts in a timely manner
Responding to customer issues and communicating with issues back to Ryder Management
Familiar with using camera to take photos/upload/edit in Microsoft Word file
Other tasks as assigned
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION
- H.S. diploma/GED
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years or more previous experience in the department
Three (3) years or more experience with John Deere Inventory Systems (Host systems)
SKILLS
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors). Ability to work effectively with individuals from different areas and backgrounds, both inside and outside the company
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks
Using math skills to analyze data
Develops and delivers effective presentations.
Ability to build strong customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Able to walk on concrete floors for 8 hours daily
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
KNOWLEDGE
Cross dock processes; intermediate level.
Knowledge of appropriate computer applications to use for tracking and report information (Excel, Word, Ryder YMS, Cross Dock database); intermediate level.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work flexible work schedule as needed
Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, work with a team
Experienced in performing Inventory Counts, Shipping and Receiving as well as Engineering Change activity.
Good attention to detail
Must be a self-starter
Must interact well with all levels at Ryder and the Customer Organizations
Walk on Concrete floor for up to eight+ (8) hours a day
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
Basic computer skills required such working with windows, using the task bar, minimize/maximize/close buttons, and highlight copy/paste
Basic MS Word skills such as centering text, changing font size and style, line spacing, page numbers, spell check, and margin set up
Basic MS Excel skills such as understanding rows and columns, inserting rows, deleting rows, selecting cells, inserting worksheets, saving, closing and the save as button
GM MGO knowledge or experience is preferred
