Ryder System HR Representative - Field in SPRING HILL, Tennessee

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced HR generalist to serve as the second or third shift HR Representative at the Spring Hill Manufacturing and warehousing facilities supporting approximately 300 unionized employees in wide range HR activities. This will not be a first shift positon.

The successful candidate will collaborate with supervisors and managers to actively engage employees in improving employee relations, resolve labor relations issues and grievances, and will serve to coach and develop local leadership. Additional responsibilities include performance management, internal investigations, monitoring headcount, and off boarding employees. At least 1 year of prior HR generalist experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment is required. A union environment is preferred and there are no travel requirements.

This HR Rep role is to cover off shifts hours either 2nd or 3rd shift!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational behavior, human resources or labor relations

  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible human resource and labor relations experience at a generalist level

  • This position will travel approximately 10-20% of the time

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Masters degree preferred

  • Candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational, training and negotiating skills and have the ability to effectively interact with employees from senior management to the front-line

Responsibilities

  • This position will be responsible for resolving employee concerns and grievances, working with management to resolve employee relations issues, providing counsel and guidance to management regarding the appropriate application of performance management processes

  • Position will assist in recruitment and selection processes as necessary, assist with field training initiatives, and support the administration of corporate compensation and benefit programs

  • Primarily working with the field management team to ensure a positive and productive work environment
