  • Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month

  • Annual Salary Pay: $100,000 - $125,000 per year based on experience

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Travel: Up to 75%

Summary

The Senior Manager Quality has ownership of the Quality Management System for multiple existing accounts and/or new business segments. Quality Assurance liaison between Ryder Management and Customer in achievement of business objectives. Leads continuous improvement activities as needed.

  • OEM Quality department experience (Subject Matter Expert) preferred

  • QM level experience with finished vehicles preferred

  • Automotive or aerospace industry experience preferred

  • Supporting multiple accounts on the East coast with up to 75% travel

  • Experience with strong QM management, processes, compliance (working with rigid quality requirements from customer – product handling, damage)

  • ISO experience preferred

  • Individual contributor with highly technical skillset - strong hands-on quality experience

  • Experience using data analysis to drive solutions

  • No direct reports

Essential Functions

  • Leads Continuous Improvement activities as needed

  • Serves as the business owner, establishes and regulates the standards for Quality Management Systems based on company and/or industry standards

  • Oversees internal auditing to ensure regulatory compliance and certification

  • Facilitates regular performance reviews with operations leadership and monitors metrics

  • Develops, implements strategy to manage scope and meet customer expectations

  • Supports business start-ups and expansions including pricing inputs, go-live and steady state certifications

  • Exerts considerable influence on the overall objectives and long range goals of the organization

  • Works on considerable complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various intangible factors

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred

  • Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred

  • Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required

  • Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required

  • One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred
