Summary

The Inside Sales Manager SCS will lead a new team in the fastest growing division at Ryder. The focus will be creating additional pipeline opportunities within a complex selling model. This position will be responsible for collaborating with VP's of Sales, Group Directors of Sales, SCS sales teams and marketing. They will lead, coach, monitor and develop outbound prospecting reps who call on targeted accounts. This manager will also do outbound prospecting to senior level decision makers regarding Ryder's value proposition and Supply Chain Services. Manager will receive incentives based on achieving team targets and metrics and SCS performance. Exciting career advancement opportunities for the person who does well in this role.

Essential Functions

  • Direct, manage and develop SCS Account Development Reps who prospect within Supply Chain vertical markets, Last Mile, ECOM and Dedicated Transportation.

  • Develop and lead the execution of processes and prospecting activities to significantly grow the pipeline in a growing market.

  • Train and coach team on interacting and gaining interest with C-level decision makers.

  • Create an organized contact strategy for nurturing accounts utilizing Ryder’s Salesforce CRM.

  • Analyze and assess activity within Salesforce to ensure proper documentation of notes and prospect follow-up by team members.

  • Track and monitor all lead activity, response time and stages of sales cycle.

  • Participate in sales and account planning meetings.

  • Regular cadence of interaction with Group Directors and VP’s of Sales.

  • Interact with marketing dept. on lead status. Engage in discussions on how to improve the marketing campaign and lead process to grow the SCS pipeline.

  • Provide ongoing progress updates to the SVP of Sales and Solutions and their senior team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook) advanced required

  • Knowledge and use of Salesforce automation tools and applications required

  • Ryder sales process – Ryder products and services required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Two (2) years or more demonstrated successful management experience including strategizing, new process development/improvements and attainment of assigned metrics. required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook) advanced required

  • Knowledge and use of Salesforce automation tools and applications required

  • Ryder sales process – Ryder products and services required
