As an Inside Sales Account Development Manager in our Used Vehicle Sales division, you’ll be part of a dynamic team, equipped to succeed and empowered to develop your career, with real growth, in a timely fashion.


This position expands Ryder foot print in the used vehicle sales market and shortens the sales cycle by turning over more highly qualified leads to Used Vehicle Sales Managers. This position is responsible for providing qualified leads in multiple geographic territories.

Engages in lead nurturing and based on the prospects needs, assesses whether and when the Lead merits one-on-one attention

Accomplishes one-on-one nurturing and based on needs assessment determines if the lead merits assigning a used vehicle sales resource

Schedules meetings between the Sales Qualified and a Used Vehicle Sales Manager

Educates and develops prospects regarding Ryder's UVS Value Proposition and Services offered

Maintains a high level of call volume in order to pass qualified leads to UVS Managers, set customer appointments and generate revenue dollars


Can recognize customer pain points and offer Ryder solutions; converse on transportation industry topics

Performs other duties as assigned


Bachelor's degree in business/marketing or equivalent experience.


Three (3) years or more experience in successful sales preferred

Three (3) years or more experience in Inside Sales preferred

Five (5) years or more experience selling in a B2B environment preferred


Possesses strong technical aptitude. Ability to use technology and self-motivated to accurately research and engage customers to identify future opportunities

Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors). Able to communicate clearly with C-Level customer and with experience Ryder Sales Team

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write clear, concise emails and speak effectively to multiple levels in an organization

Ability to read and/or listen and understand information and ideas communicated. Demonstrate sales aptitude, assertive, persistent, good listener, self-motivated, excellent closing skills

Demonstrates analytical skills. Good mathematical ability

Excellent organizational skills. Effective time and activity management skills

Ability to effectively solve problems and challenges that satisfy customers. Mature and self-confident with the ability to work under pressure

Productivity\Ability to think strategically and understand business planning. Detail and goal oriented, must be able to reach and exceed monthly/yearly quotas. Able to prioritize work

Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty. Aptitude for acquiring selling skills and product knowledge

Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills. Ability to prioritize projects and deal with ambiguity

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Self-starter, motivated, team player


Excellent systems literacy knowledge - MS Office, Excel, Word, Internet; intermediate level.

Know how to utilize keyboard/PC to capture in a dynamic way, customer discovery; intermediate level.
