The HR Compliance Analyst will support Ryder's Drug and Alcohol program. This position will provide overall support in the administration and monitoring of the company’s Drug & Alcohol program for US and Canada (Cross Border Drivers) for compliance with Ryder policies and the Department of Transportation Testing requirements.

  • Knowledge and ability to interpret DOT and State Drug & Alcohol regulations for compliance

  • Knowledge of DOT FMCSA clearinghouse for compliance

  • Knowledge of Drug & Alcohol Programs for pre and post-employment (e.g. random testing, return to duty, etc.)

  • Ability to manipulate and interpret data

  • Ability to perform compliance audits and provide recommendations for process improvement

  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment

Essential Functions

  • Overall accountability for the functional area(s) assigned and relevant project execution. Manage the scope and schedule for assigned projects and programs; engage needed resources; establish timelines, deliverables, tasks, identifying inter-dependencies with internal and extern stakeholders to ensure strategic goals and deadlines are met.

  • Conducts compliance audits, analyzes results and generates reports for relevant functional areas, and potential policy recommendations to appropriate departments.

  • Red flags any potential non-compliant issues to management, determines the root cause, and applies experience and judgment to find resolution.

  • Continuous improvement of functional operations and knowledge content through the review and feedback process to resolve issues or accessibility concerns leading to improved support.

  • Work closely with Workday and ServiceNow administration teams on review and maintenance of the content, business processes, and other relevant areas.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources or a related field (i.e. Information Systems) or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

  • Three (3) years or more experience in a related field (i.e. HR, compliance legal, audit) with emphasis on program design and analysis required

  • Drug & Alcohol Program certification a plus
