Summary
Responsible for managing Ryder Last Mile General, Strategic, & Enterprise Accounts within the daily flow of business while effectively communicating with various Ryder Last Mile Departments to ensure account requirement awareness and execution. Develop relationships with assigned Accounts and uncover opportunities to grow the existing business within Last Mile and the broader Ryder business.
Essential Functions
Work closely with Ryder Last Mile Departments such as Logistics Design, Finance, Contracts, IT, & Quality integrate new Ryder Last Mile business with existing customers into the organization
Depending on complexity of solution, create detailed project plans for the development and launch of new projects and engage the respective groups/departments within the organization
Update various Ryder Last Mile departments as to business/service requirements of new Ryder Last Mile accounts
Analyze historical shipment data for customers to determine volumes, trends, and opportunities for improvement
Conduct/participate in routine conference calls with Ryder Last Mile accounts Develop detailed notes/action plans as a result of meetings/conference calls and disperse to respective Ryder Last Mile departments
Travel to visit customers when needed to participate in presentations, information gathering and overall account management discussions (as needed)
Work with customers to define reporting requirements and ensure the implementation of those reports
Through relationship management with the Ryder Last Mile Customers, determine other potential revenue opportunities (through existing business, vendor relationships etc.) and develop a strategy to gain additional revenue
Work with operations to drive continuous improvement opportunites
Represent “voice of customer” to organizational leadership
Provide solutions to customers to increase revenues, reduce costs, and/or improve the customer experience
Act as conduit for customer into the Ryder Last Mile organization and be point of contact with customer for departments within Ryder Last Mile.

Skills and Abilities
Excellent problem solving skills, use of formal Root Cause Countermeasure Systems preferred
Excellent oral and written communications skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Strong organization, analytical and computer skills
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Ability to create and develop an inclusive and engaged work environment across the enterprise
Effectively guide profit and loss actions using current data sets
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in business, logistics, supply chain or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
Master's degree preferred
Eight (8) years or more in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
Five (5) years or more supervisory experience required
Experience providing customer and senior level management presentations preferred
Four (4) years or more Profit and Loss experience preferred
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills required
Three (3) years or more customer interaction required
Prior experience in leading teams in a LEAN work environment is preferred
