The Carrier Management Specialist will work directly with internal teams as well as carriers to develop and review customer specific scorecard metrics (such as Prime Tender Acceptance, On-time pickup, On-time Delivery and Update Compliance). The successful candidate for this high growth opportunity will be customer-service oriented and have the drive for career progression. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain metrics for account specific goals.

  • Utilize visualization tools (Power BI) to present carrier management metrics that will drive corrective action.

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to streamline processes.

  • Carrier claims tracking and submissions

  • Executing corrective action with low performing carriers

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm

  • Other ability to prioritize, organize and accomplish work

  • Knowledge/experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment (e.g., shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution or dispatch) intermediate preferred

  • Knowledge of warehouse, software applications, routing and dispatching software applications intermediate preferred

  • Understanding of DOT, OSHA and all other safety related regulations strongly preferred intermediate preferred

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required

  • One (1) year or more Warehouse, Transportation, Logistics or a distribution environment required

  • One (1) year or more Experience in a customer service environment required

  • Knowledge/experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment (e.g., shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution or dispatch) intermediate preferred

  • Knowledge of warehouse, software applications, routing and dispatching software applications intermediate preferred

  • Understanding of DOT, OSHA and all other safety related regulations strongly preferred intermediate preferred
