Ryder System Network Carrier Clerk in NEW ALBANY, Ohio

Position Description


  • Ensure all VT’s are entered in the HUB Schedules and NC’s are aware of incoming trucks.

  • Receive in all OS&D’s in a timely manner.

  • Research and update all Resto Hardware orders both in iDirect and RHOM.

  • Research and monitor all HON Intr orders to ensure the NC’s are scheduling intr and meet KPI’s.

  • Process Return Authorizations for all clients and move orders thru the system.

  • Process all EMC’s for Network and Sonoma

  • Manage the Open Order Report.

  • Respond to Urgent Client inquiries.

  • Respond to all Billing inquiries.

  • Validate and update all completed deliveries in iDirect.

  • Build returns trucks for each NC site that you manage.

  • Make daily calls to the NC’s that you manage and ensure their inventory is accurate.


  • High School education or equivalent and a minimum

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions

  • Ability to multi-function.

  • Ability to build professional relationships.

  • Organizational skills

  • Proficient Microsoft skills


  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years related experience

  • Operations background (Logistics and/or Transportation)

  • Meets corporate competency model requirements

  • Organization skills

  • Ability to:

  • Communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Practical Learning skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools


  • Print delivery tickets for inbound trucks and fax them to Network Carriers

  • Research and update orders on Restoration Hardware’s “Ready to be Scheduled” (RTBS) report; work with Network Carriers to get orders scheduled

  • Process Return Authorizations (RAs), RA Clarifications, Pending RAs, Not in iDirect RAs, etc. for all locations

  • Manage the Open RA report (monthly)

  • Research orders on the “Over 50” report (orders that have a delivery date 50 days old) either by obtaining a POD from the Network Carrier or conducting a follow up survey with the customer to confirm delivery; update system so we can invoice the client

  • Respond to pending invoice questions from the Network Carrier Invoicing Team

  • Validate and update complete dates in iDirect for orders that have a scheduled date

  • Assist Operations Supervisor with building return trucks

  • Serve as backup for Operations Supervisor’s phone and email

  • Perform other duties as assigned
