SUMMARY

This position supports the Compliance teams at both HQ and SSC through effectively resolving any issues with the RydeSmart Trip Builder processess by way of engaging RydeSmart Support, RydeSmart IT, FMS Rental and Maintenace personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Research and resolve any issues related to 3rd party motor carrier non-compliance versus standards including engagement with 3rd party insurance borkers and agents, the FMCSA and DOT, Secretary of State, California Air Resources Board, State Workermans Comp, and others.

Responsible for supporting and maintaining records related to motor carrier insurance, business authorities, 3rd party carrier employee or subcontractor background checks, tax information and contact information. Daily reporting of upcoming deficiencies and weekly reporting of risk associated with current carrier base.

Coordinate with Ryder legal and Ryder Claims on claims made against Ryder that pertain to 3rd party motor carriers. Additionally, work with 3rd party brokers and vendors on providing information regarding motor carriers.

Track and communicate new contractual relationships with motor carriers by working with Ryder Routing, Field Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Billing.

Evaluate the scope of business relationships based on regulatory/legal considerations to determine if relationship exposes Ryder to financial or operational risk.

Responsible for ongoing evaluation of standards by Compliance to contract with motor carriers and determine based on the needs of the business or regulatory changes if standards should be changed to minimize overall risk levels.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop vendor relationships with companies supporting motor carriers, including insurance brokers, payment processing vendors, badge printing companies, apparel companies, etc.

Develop improvements for the Risk Compliance team to streamline communication and data management relating to motor carriers

Review qualification process of 3rd party carrier workers and print badges identifying those workers are qualified to Ryder’s standards

Conduct user testing on any new software releases of badge scanning application

Develop and conduct training programs for field operations related to the Risk Compliance department and any regulatory changes that impact field operations

Daily reporting of metrics and evaluation of metrics to determine impacts to field operations, including evaluation of court closures causing delays for background processing, insurance market changes impacts carriers contract approvals, etc.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, 3rd party carriers, vendors, managers, legal, safety and leadership

EDUCATION

H.S. diploma/GED High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

experience Customer Service or HelpDesk background preferred
