The Senior HRIS Analyst is an expert level position within the HRIS organization. The incumbent will support and maintain the human resource information system (HRIS) in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS team. S/he serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists in ensuring data integrity, HR security, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Senior HRIS Analyst supports HRIS upgrades, testing and other technical projects, as well as coach and mentor junior level HRIS employees.


  • Bachelor's degree computer science, information technology, human resource management, or other related field

  • Five (5) years or more of experience in HRIS systems, preferably in Workday

  • Experience with systems implementation and project management techniques preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment

  • Capable of multi-tasking and highly organized, with excellent time management skills

  • Ability to:

  • Listen, write, and speak effectively

  • Inform, explain, and provide clear instructions

  • Work independently and as a member of a team

  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, even under pressure

  • Knowledge of:

  • MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook (advanced level)

  • Workday HR Core

  • Workday Security


  • Create and edit security roles with Workday

  • Manage request queue for HR security role assignments

  • Work with the reporting team to troubleshoot security issues

  • Conduct high level needs analysis, prepare associated business requirements specifications, designs, plans, and implement modifications and enhancements to the HRIS system and other systems

  • Provide support for HRIS including, but not limited to, research and resolve HRIS problems and unexpected results or process flaws, perform scheduled activities, and recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

  • Act as a business system consultant and advisor to the organization, including functional users, occasional users, and other work management teams

  • Perform other duties as assigned
