Position Description

The IT Process Analyst supports the implementation of IT business processes for prioritized objectives through the implementation of simplified, standardized and automated IT processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, industrial engineering or related area of study

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in IT and/or process improvement preferred

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred

  • Project management professional (PMP) certification preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment

  • Capable of multi-tasking and highly organized, with excellent time management and planning skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow up practices

  • Experience in:

  • Creating, facilitating and measuring the impact of training programs

  • Facilitating cross functional teams to identify best practices preferred

  • Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system preferred

  • Process mapping, standard procedures documentation and project management preferred

  • Ability to:

  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers and supervisors)

  • Work independently and as a member of a team

  • Work cross-functionally in order to achieve desired results

  • Manage multiple projects to timelines

  • Effectively facilitate meetings, work sessions, and trainings

  • Analyze and solve problems

  • Knowledge of:

  • IT processes and frameworks from ITGI (CobiT), ITIL, SEI (CMMi), Microsoft (MOF) and ISO (beginner level) preferred

  • SharePoint development and Clarity (beginner level) preferred

  • Microsoft Project (beginner level) preferred

  • Transportation industry (beginner level) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create continuous improvement materials such as detailed process documentation, process maps and training materials to support the simplification, standardization and automation of the IT processes

  • Support the creation and roll-out of enterprise-wide project management guidelines, standards, tools, methodologies and reports

  • Develop, implement and support data repository for filing, record keeping and retrieval of metrics for scorecard reporting

  • Review and report on research findings regarding performance against operational objectives and project success factors

  • Support continuous improvement deployment using fundamentals of Lean and Six Sigma; assist Kaizen and Six Sigma teams

  • Support the development, implementation and ongoing IT capital plan process

  • Gather and organize information on procedures and best practices that support division objectives by creating and maintaining an IT knowledge repository

  • Perform other duties as assigned
