This opportunity will be a part time (20 hours per week) internship within the Ryder Audit Services Department supporting Sarbanes-Oxley 404 control testing (testing design and operating effectiveness of SOX controls). This will be a flexible working arrangement, allowing you to work around your class schedule.

  • Primary Activities and Responsibilities: Ryder Audit Service interns will be expected to perform professional internal auditing work which includes the following job responsibilities:

  • Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing/analyzing evidence, and documenting auditee processes and procedures

  • Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and compose summary memos

  • Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed

  • Communicate or assist in communicating the results of projects via written reports and oral presentations to management

  • Develop and maintain productive auditee and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings

  • Maintaining all organizational and professional ethical standards

  • Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to analyze complex business issues and make sound business decisions

  • Leadership, analytical, and teamwork skills
