Ryder System Information Technology Intern in MIAMI, Florida
The IT Intern - will support the IT department across applications in various aspects through documentation. data analysis and project related tasks. This position could be extended past the summer internship period.
o Technical competencies:
Basic Windows troubleshooting experience.
Basic experience with IOS/Android devices.
Basic Microsoft Office skills (i.e. Outlook, Excel, and Word), intermediate preferred
Assist with Mobile Device Management End User/Device enrollments and deletions.
Assist with the reconciliation and enforcement of AirWatch on Corporate owned mobile devices.
Assist with enforcing company standards on mobile devices, desktops, and laptops.
Work on projects pertaining to applications and/or products impacting Ryder’s mobile devices, desktops, and laptops.
Accurately and efficiently execute mobile device testing and assemble and document all test results.
Follow up with end users regarding documentation and PC related items for PC Images.
Data reporting and analysis.
Proactively carry out project support and administrative functions.
Complete accurate status and time reports on time.
Qualifications & Abilities

Understands basic Internet and client/server architectures. Mobile device experience a plus.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite – preference is with Advanced knowledge of Excel to assist with reporting and data analysis.

- Must have completed at least four (4) semesters of college or university curriculum and be currently enrolled toward a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, DIS, MIS or related field
Strong customer focus and the ability to effectively communicate with management, co-workers and customers
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively
Work well under pressure, successfully meet schedules, work independently while interacting with personnel from differing management levels and produce high quality work with minimal supervision
Strong PC and Software product skills (Windows, MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel), analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
This position is temporary and may or may not lead to a full time position
Some duties may include:
Working on project based assignments
Will participate with teams of IT staff and, on a limited basis, client department personnel in the development, implementation and maintenance of computer
Based information systems; to install, trouble shoot, maintain and modify computer and network system software; and to perform related duties as assigned
