This position is responsible for leading a $50-$100 million rental unit to overall profitability and growth of the rental product line. The DOR will be responsible for leading and developing approximately 75-100 employees . This position reports directly to the Vice President of Rental. This position will directly manage all Rental personnel including; Rental Managers, Rental Account Managers, Branch Rental Manager, Rental Counter Supervisors, Management Trainees, Rental Sales Representatives and Sr.Rental Sales Representatives. Each DOR will have approximately 6-8 Rental Managers reporting directly to them

The DOR will have a proven track record in the following areas; Successfully Managing People, Leading a Team, Sales & Marketing, Sales Management &Execution, Achieving Financial Goals, Operations and Fleet Management, Customer Retention and Development and Communication

This position owns the entire rental product line for their assigned business unit

Successfully managing people

Leading a team

Sales and marketing

Achieving financial goals

Operations and fleet management

Customer retention and development and communication


Performs other duties as assigned


Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.

Master's degree preferred.


Ten (10) years or more experience of related experience can be substituted for the Bachelors degree

Eight (8) years or more experience in rental or a minimum 10 years of experience in a variety of progressive Ryder or industry management assignments


. demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and

develop others and build successful teams

. highly developed ability to influence throughout the chain of command

. must have an ability to build and influence functional relationships
