Position Description

The IT Application Development Coordinator will provide support to the development team for different applications in SiteCore and TFS. The incumbent will ensure that defects are validated and routed to the proper developer, test fixes and act as the liaison between QA and Support teams.


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline preferred

  • Up to one (1) year of experience:

  • In a software development support role

  • Logging defect/bug/backlog items

  • In QC

  • With SharePoint and TFS

  • Ability to:

  • Assess a situation, seek multiple perspectives, gather more information (if necessary), and identify key issues that need to be addressed

  • Understand and communicate the root cause of an issue to teams

  • Build strong customer relationships

  • Communicate effectively within a large group and convey a clear message

  • Work independently and as a member of a team

  • Guide, engage, and impart knowledge to others

  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)

  • Log, research, analyze and update QC defects, TFS Bus and SharePoint backlog Items (intermediate level)

  • Perform minor front end changes in SiteCore and HTML (beginner level)

  • Perform Builds in TFS and Sitecore (beginner level) preferred

  • Knowledge of:

  • SDLC (beginner level) preferred

  • Software Development QA (beginner level) preferred


• Identifies application issues; tries to reproduce the issue and either provides an immediate resolution or logs a ticket/defect and researches further into the problem to escalate to the appropriate development team member

• Interacts with, and supports, work flows between the Development and QA/Support Teams:

• Communicates fixes to QA team and prepares release notes

• Assists QA/Support team in writing knowledge articles to address inquiries from the end user/QA pertaining to a particular application

• Works with developers on fixes. by coordinating between them to find the root cause, and ensures that they are fixed by smoke testing the application before being released to production

• Will act as a back-up to TFS administrator and SiteCore administrator

• Logs defects using QC, backlogs items using SharePoint, and logs bugs using TFS

• Performs minor fixes in front-end content and HTML

• Performs other duties as assigned
