Ryder is hiring for a Quality Technician in Hagerstown, MD!
This position is responsible for ensuring quality expectations including, but not limited to employee safety, food safety, sanitation and quality systems.
About the position:
Consistent pay:$21.50/hour
Schedule:Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm*Subject to Change*
Requirements:
Job Responsibilities
Assist the Quality Manager with administrative tasks
Coordinate with the manager the quality management system procedure updates
Assist with the preparation of material needed for employee training programs
Assist in the scheduling and tracking of audits
Track, record, and compile data associated with the document control process
Manage, file, and organize quality assurance documentation
Perform periodic quality audits on the production floor as required
Skills
Ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods
Customer service
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
Knowledge of WMS preferred
Data entry
Math & statistics skills
Perform work independently with minimal supervision
Experience
Two (2) years in a similar position
One (1) year of document control
One (1) year of quality control (auditing process)
Other requirements:Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Requirements
Associate's Degree
Previous experience in food grade facility
Experience with GMPs, FDA, USDA, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
Verify and monitor relevant finished packaging codes as it relates to specifications
Assist in effectively inspecting product for quality issues and remove defects/contaminants such as stones, wood, glass, plastic, etc., prior to packaging in accordance to specifications
Perform timely checks to meet specifications
Provide supervisors/managers with proper quality documentation as required
Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety
Maintain qualify to meet all standards required by FDA, USDA, etc.
Ensure product quality to meet Customer, state and federal guidelines
Other duties as required or assigned
