Ryder System Material Handler - Goldsboro, NC in GOLDSBORO, North Carolina

$500 Sign-On Bonus!!

($250 at 30 days & $250 at 90 days!)

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Goldsboro, NC!

The purpose of this position is to accurately manage storeroom supplies for our customer. The job consists of ordering and stocking supplies, unloading trailers, and moving product around the outside yard with the use of a forklift. The job also entails the use of computer applications to receive, order, and distribute product.

About the position:

  • Consistent pay:$15.50/hr

  • Schedule:6:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday thru Friday

  • Requirements:

  • 3 years computer experience Heavy on computer work (Must have basic typing skills, Excel and Outlook experience) Need to be able to create emails, create excel spreadsheets, proficient in excel

  • MUST have inventory experience

  • 1 year warehouse experience

  • 1 year of forklift experience

  • Shipment receiving experience preferred

  • Issue material to techs

  • Ship out defects

  • Stocking

  • Yard keep up

  • Inventory every 3 months

  • Must be comfortable driving a Ford F150 truck

  • Good math skillsOther requirements:

  • Must be able to pass criminal background check, drug test and MVR (Motor Vehicle Report)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred

  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)Able to work within a diverse work environment

  • Highly thorough and dependable

  • Must be punctual and have a good attendance record

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting

  • Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract

  • Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks

  • Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)

  • Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production

  • Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
