Summary

Under supervision from a supervisor or manager , the Warehouse Maintenance Technician II is responsible for all maintenance functions of the facility. The position requires direct involvement with daily operations and future projects to ensure technical activities support facility goals and objectives. Personnel in these groups may have varying degrees of customer or contractor contact levels.

Essential Functions

  • Performs maintenance and trouble-shooting functions on all warehousing equipment in an independent and effective way

  • Maintains and trouble-shoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable.

  • Performs routine forklift repairs. Maintains batteries and related equipment.

  • Performs routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs.

  • If required, provides training to operations associates, including aspects of safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned. Overtime as needed

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required

  • Ten (10) years or more plant/warehouse general maintenance experience including electrical, mechanical repair and trouble-shooting required

  • Two (2) years or more experience operating forklift equipment required

  • Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems intermediate required

  • Equipment certification may be required

  • Vocational or Technical Certification

Safety Sensitive

Non-Regulated Tech - Depending on location, may be required to operate equipment and be equipment certified
