Ryder System Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Analytics in FORT WORTH, Texas
As the Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Analytics you will lead a team of data architects, data scientists, and developers to work with various teams across the company to identify and solve business challenges utilizing large structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in a distributed processing environment.
You will lead the innovative development of Ryder’s digital platform, fostering technical talent within your high-performing team. You must be able to think on your feet, communicate constantly and professionally, and above all else drive solutions to meet the expectations of our customers and internal business requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology with good understanding of their applicability to business, a relentless focus on the customer experience and an ability to multitask, assimilate data, make decisions and prioritize complex work while paying attention to the details.
Strong knowledge and experience with data analytics and business intelligence visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI, Domo); PowerBI is preferred
Data mining and data analysis skills with the ability to clearly present complex information in a simple manner, discern business meaning and recommended actions to stakeholders
Ability to self-teach and stay current with emerging technologies
Ability to summarize research and analysis for audiences with varying levels of expertise.
Experience mentoring co-workers while still operating with a hands-on approach
Ability to champion ambiguous scenarios and challenges
High degree of comfort and ease with ambiguity and uncertainty
Passion for understanding clients vision and business goals
Driven to help organizations innovate via digital products
Problem-solver, curious, hands-on mentality
Proven experience with Power BI or Alteryx a plus
Bachelors degree required in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
Minimum of eight years of related experience
MBA and/or Industrial Engineering Masters Degree preferred
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred, attainment is required within 12 months
American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification is preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in: MS Office MS Project and/or Transportation/Warehouse Management Systems (TMS and WMS) MS Visio Statistical and/or Transportation Analysis Tools (Minitab, SAS, Metlab, i2, Tmod, ILPS) Network analysis tools and/or Simulation and Inventory/Network Design tools Mapping analysis tools, preferred
Independently identifies process gaps then recommends and implements process improvement
Applies company methodologies and tools to design distribution and/or transportation operations
Establishes and implements performance measures
Actively supports the sales process and creates high quality solutions and designs
Provides proposal presentation support and development Makes Inventory and/or Supply Chain strategy recommendations
Effectively interacts with customers, Sales, and Operations to create value propositions
Confers with Engineering and Operations Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions Manages multiple and complex Supply Chain projects Provides resource planning based on priorities and demand signals
May assist in providing logistics training as part of Ryder Academy Supervises a team of engineers (hire, promote, coach, development and performance management)
