This position will be responsible for the following: process tax filings, assist with check requests and electronic payments, prepare basic business license renewals, open and distribute mail, provide support to Operating Tax Team, as requested.


  • Support the Operating Tax Team, including processing sales and use tax returns, property tax returns, business license renewals and other filings to be mailed by required due dates

  • Assist with processing check requests, making electronic tax payments

  • Prepare basic business license renewals. Mail renewals with filing fees or file renewals electronically with electronic payments by required due dates

  • Prepare Excel schedules to support tax returns and renewals

  • Position can lead to training to prepare basic sales and use tax and/or property tax returns

  • Sort and distribute mail to the correct parties for proper handling

  • Perform other duties as requested


Performs other duties as assigned.


Associates degree in accounting, tax or related field


Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a tax or accounting environment a plus


  • Very attentive to details, timeliness and accuracy

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (pivot table and V-lookup functions), including ability to easily learn new programs

  • Ability to work quickly and independently on multiple projects to meet required deadlines
