Position Summary

The “ Body Shop Supervisor ” assists the Shop Manager with the operations and personnel for a shift of a particular location. The Supervisor may have supervisory duties of employees on a shift, including but not limited to: Collision Mechanic, Collision Painter, Collison Worker, etc. The Body Shop Supervisor must be able to accomplish results and ensure business objectives and labor requirements are met. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the customers' needs are being met while balancing financial, operating, quality, safety and asset targets against the requirements of the business. This position is responsible for the management of the location performance against metrics to meet and/or exceed assigned objectives. The Supervisor will be cross functionally trained in order to be able to back up others within the shop. As with all Ryder shop positions, the Body Shop Supervisor, is responsible for adhering to all Ryder Operations policies and procedures.

Shop Location: Dallas, TX

Hours: 5:30am to 3:30pm

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Salary - Bonus

This position requires experience working in a Heavy-Duty Truck collision repair shop.

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or certifications, etc.

Essential Functions

  • Generates and develops leads for new business for both the body shop and mechanic shop. Visits potential customers onsite to sell Ryder services. Sends new customer information to BU Director Of Sales for evaluation. Maintain a positive employee related climate and maintain a customer satisfaction index at a high level.

  • Ascertain automotive body damage by conducting inspections and examinations to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage. Photographing damaged areas. Develop/prepare estimate cost by costing parts, supplies, labor and calculating customer's payment, Obtain insurance estimates by contacting insurance companies, reviewing damage estimates with insurance adjuster, resolving repair and replacement requirements. Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimate and expected return of vehicle. Maintains relationships with customers by calling and visiting the customer's location. Looks for ways to provide additional services and support to those customers. Acts as a liaison between the shop and the customer.

  • Manages walk-in customers. Assist up a method of payment. (credit, credit card etc.) Assures proper billings and collections. Sets up customer survey and follow up. Assists with disputes.

  • Monitors the market place for competition and competitive rates. Provides market analysis and development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required Business and/or marketing or equivalent experience

  • Five (5) years or more Demonstrated consecutive Sales Excellence (quota achievement) in prior sales responsibilities required

Travel: Greater than 10%

DOT Regulated

  • Regulated Driver non-CDL

  • Must Have and Maintain Class C Texas License or Equivalent and Be Insurable By Company Insurance Provider
