Manage Supply and Demand for railcar movements
Work directly with multiple customer contacts and 3rd party vendors within the overall supply chain
Local inventory management of railcars within the facility to meet loading requirements and car count thresholds
Review and fulfill open orders movements both outbound and inbound
Review and manage inbound empty railcar pipeline and adjust as needed
Review and manage inbound feed railcar supply chain activity and safety stock
Generate and distribute Rail Rack Schedules
Provide optimum loading mark for plant rail operators
Verification of quality results for both outbound and inbound railcars
Generate and verify both loaded/empty billing to railroads via SAP or RR website direct
Manage railcar status of cars within the facility to maximize in plant turn times (i.e. bad orders, load & holds)
Monitor production write on and grading activity to reconcile against auto-allocation GI process
Create and submit railcar switch lists to the railroads (outbound/inbound)
General daily reporting and distribution as required by business unit
Work directly to support customers’ railcar logistics needs and special requirements
Expedite high priority shipments
Generate Truck rack loading and unloading schedules
Execute goods issue and material movement for truckload activity
Skills and Abilities
Ability to represent the company with external constituents
Represent Ryder Shipment Management Services in a professional manner to internal and external parties
Ability to build strong customer relationships
Demonstrated customer service capabilities
Direct customer interface (internal/external) on all customer related issues
Effective leadership skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Demonstrates problem solving skills
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
H.S. diploma/GED required
Bachelor's degree preferred in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
Two (2) years or more direct Transportation or Logistics work experience required
