Position Description
Immediate opening for an Elite Solo Class A CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Charlotte, NC

$1800 per week - And it gets better
Driver Positions Pay Weekly
Hourly Pay: $25.00 Per Hour
Overtime After 40
Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
Personal Mileage Reimbursement and Travel Time Paid
NST Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31
Sign On Bonus: Pays You $1500 at 30 Days AND $1500 at 90 Days
Paid Training
Schedule: 5 Day Work Week with 2 Consecutive Days Off
Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.
Deliver SOLO To: Varies Based on the Account Supporting
Route: Regional
Tractor Type: Day Cab and Sleepers
Trailer Type: Dry Van, Flatbed, and Box Trucks
Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack, Lift Gate and Moffet
Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
Freight: Touch/No Touch – Depends On The Account Supporting
Endorsements: Hazmat - Required at Time of Hire
1 year Flatbed Experience required.

Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.
Responsibilities
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Performs other duties as assigned
