Summary

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of pre-sales orders and pick up of returned products by providing superior customer service. In addition, this position also acts as a back up to the Sales Representative in the collection of checks process.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible to drive a delivery van in a safe and responsible manner. Conduct pre and post vehicle inspection

  • Responsible to deliver products to our clients/customers and provide superior customer service

  • Collect products for returns according to instructions and provide the customer a credit note

  • Conduct pre and post vehicle inspection

  • Complete the administration and paper work

  • Record order discrepancies and inform the Dispatch Office for resolution (adjustment transactions)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to drive a delivery van in a safe and responsible manner

  • Safety as first priority

  • Capacity to drive in all weather conditions and temperature changing environment

  • Must be able to frequently lift/carry 35 lbs for 8 to 10 hours daily

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

  • Demonstrates customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills

  • Highly thorough and dependable

  • Must have professional appearance

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED preferred General H.S. subjects

  • One (1) year or more Commercial driving experience required

  • Must not have more than 1 moving violation or accidents(anything other than parking) required

  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A

Travel: Greater than 60%
