Job Description :
Summary
Provides administrative and technical support of a responsible and confidential nature for the disability plans, health & welfare, voluntary and other benefit plans which are offered to Ryder employees. Special emphasis on leave administration, to include managing the leave process. Should have Workday experience in Benefits and Payroll in order to perform the Benefits Specialist job. Benefits Specialist will work closely with HRIS and Payroll departments to support the Benefits Department. Must have experience reviewing large data reports, identifying discrepancies, and making updates directly into the Workday Benefits and Payroll systems.

Essential Functions
Administration of the disability plans, working closely with disability carrier and payroll.
Compliance functions related to reviewing and maintaining the integrity of data in Workday via weekly and monthly data validation and error reporting processes
Support on a needed basis of 401(k) plan annual non-discrimination testing and annual ACA reporting
Miscellaneous responsibilities related to benefits function, benefits communications and special projects
Additional Responsibilities
Will work closely with third party administrators, employees, and a variety of company functions such as HR, Payroll, HRIS and IT.
Will be responsible for day to day problem resolution related to health and welfare new hire and annual enrollment and any corresponding employee issues.
Will manage weekly and monthly error reports to validate and maintain data integrity between Ryder and vendor systems to ensure Benefits meets agreed upon compliance requirements.
Will also participate in other Benefits department projects and assist as needed.
May support researching and resolving issues related to several benefits plans.
May work on Pension and 401(k) plan administration, research and problem resolution includes extensive review of historical plans and company groups
May need to utilize multiple systems to research historical employee and retirement plan data to determine pension eligibility.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in related field
Three (3) years or more direct experience developing and managing HR/Benefits projects and systems required

Compensation Information :
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
