Summary
The role of the Manager Field Supply Management is to lead the Inventory Planning & Management, Field Vendor Management and Central Parts Teams through planning and purchasing (local). purchasing negotiation, process compliance and training to ensure business growth, cost savings and customer retention across all FMS regions.
Essential Functions
Manage Field Inventory Planning Managers, Field Vendor Managers and Central Parts Master team in all aspects of day-to-day operations
Support, communicate and implement all corporate & regional inventory, outside repair and tire management initiatives
Accountable for key purchasing and parts inventory measurements and controls across the organization
Create and implement organizational initiatives to improve areas such as: Compliance, Customer Retention, Growth/New Revenue, Cost Reduction, and Controls which involve internal teams and/ or suppliers
Develop and implement organization framework: processes, documentation, reporting, and system enablement
Provide leadership in the development of parts and inventory initiatives & strategic plans
Spearhead and complete special projects assigned by VP and Director of Supply Management or other members of the Senior Leadership Team
Additional Responsibilities
Design and implement "lean concepts" across the organization, such as Standard Work, Waste Analysis and other Continuous Improvement related events and activities.
Collaborate with peer groups in Vehicle Supply Management (Ryder Fleet Products, Vehicle Purchasing, Warranty, National Parts Program) and FMS Maintenance on parts and inventory related tasks as it pertains to OEM and other functional areas.
Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional business teams and provide a value added support role in inventory and parts processes, initiatives and activities.
Work closely with Maintenance Publications on creating and/or publishing new or revised policies and procedures as it pertains to parts management.
Work closely with the Maintenance Technical department on initiatives such as parts recalls and other daily parts-related activities.
Lead cross functional project teams in developing and enhancing key business strategies. Demonstrates strategic agility and ability to manage vision and purpose in order to achieve desired organizational goals and objectives

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in relevant field
Ten (10) years or more experience in a variety of progressive assignments required
Travel: 50-60%
