Opportunity Details:

Position Description:

The Database Developer focuses on designing and developing data repositories using SQL server database. Uses data modeling techniques and tools in analyzing and specifying data structures to be implemented within an application system. Also defines and creates queries, logical views, stored procedures, etc. and determines the usage of reporting tools to support business units and external customers.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience required

  • 3+ years of experience in designing, creating and maintaining SQL databases

  • 3+ years of experience in writing stored procedures, triggers, SQL scripts, optimization of complex SQL queries

  • 2+ years of experience in creating Microsoft BI tools including SSIS packages, reporting services, Analysis services, MDX queries

  • 2+ years of experience in Advanced Excel reporting including pivot tables, functions, macros and PowerPivot


  • Excellent understanding of .NET web development and how it interacts with back-end process

  • Excellent understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices is required

  • Strong understanding and experience on System Development Life Cycle

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and solve complex problems is required

  • Ability to visualize and design data structures across platform is required

  • Good written and oral communication skills is required

  • Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required

  • Applicant must be highly self motivated and directed and must have proven analytical and problem-solving abilities


This position has the following responsibilities:

  • Plan and analyze requirements and design and develop databases

  • Define back-end database structures from a logical or application-oriented perspective to ensure that all front-end development efforts correlate with the appropriate tables and fields required by the system

  • Create queries, view, stored procedure and work in conjunction with developer or business users to make sure the business data requirements are met
