Ryder System Finance Manager, Asset Management in MIAMI, Florida

Position Description

The Manager Finance Asset Management position will be the lead finance person supporting the Fleet Management Solutions North American (FMS N.A.) Used Vehicle Sales organization. With 59 Used Truck Retail Centers, the FMS Used Vehicle Sales organization currently sells over 15,000 yearly quality road ready used vehicles at prices which enhance customer value and solution options while maximizing returns to Ryder. This person is a key member of the Asset Management team and will support all financial aspects of FMS N.A. Used Vehicle Sales activities both from a strategic and tactical point of view, with a specific focus on developing and providing insightful analysis on trends and projections for the FMS Asset Management leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Engineering is required

  • Minimum of five years business experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced level skills in MS Excel such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot charts, queries, custom functions, data management analysis and developing financial reports

  • Excellent financial, business and computer skills with experience in building financial / operational models

  • Strong leadership and analytical skills with ability to think strategically

  • Ability to generate innovative insights and conclusions from analysis of large amounts of data

Responsibilities

  • Support and actively participate in monthly results review meetings

  • Participation in business reviews with FMS Asset Management leadership team

  • Assist in preparation of presentations for quarterly Board of Director's meetings

  • Develop key monthly reports including UVS P and L, UVS Key Performance Indicators and Inventory Aging

  • Manage and perform activities related to the monthly close process for the Used Vehicle Sales organization in North America

  • Develop strategic and business plans and quarterly forecasts for the N.A. Used Vehicle Sales organization

  • Actively participate in the Used Vehicle Sales organization's quarterly pricing reviews and provide input into pricing decisions

  • Develop RCEs for the N.A. Used Vehicle Sales organization (including Real Estate RCEs) for management review analyze and research lease and operating history, prepare financials and collaborate with operators to synthesize business case

  • Manage and perform activities related to the monthly close process, including preparation of monthly reports

  • Development of strategic and business plans and quarterly forecasts

  • Participation in business review meetings

  • Development of Requests for Capital Expenditures (RCEs) and various presentations to the FMS Leadership and BOD
