Position Description:

RYDER TRANSPORTATION IS HIRING FOR A SERVICE SUPPORT COORDINATOR-FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CALL JOE MEDINA 919 390 4571

This Service Support Coordinator will receive technical assistance calls from field locations. Upon receipt of the call, the incumbent will act as a first line or level one support. The Service Support Coordinator will verify the training level of the person calling in, validate Shop Bay Tool (SBT) software version, populate vehicle information, and warm transfer the caller to a Service Support Manager (level 2 support).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Vocational or technical certification in automotive or diesel preferred

  • Five (5) years or more of transportation industry technical experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to:

  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)

  • Work independently and as a member of a team

  • Assess a situation, seek multiple perspectives, gather more information if necessary, and identify key issues that need to be addressed

  • Understand computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

  • Knowledge of Ryder shop operations (intermediate level) preferred

  • Knowledge of transportation industry (intermediate level) preferred

Responsibilities:

• Support field locations with technical issue resolution to include training and software verification and update assistance

• Interact with the Service Support Managers to coordinate the repair process

• Work closely with the field locations and Technical Assistance Group (TAG) management to ensure calls are handled promptly and professionally

• Follow up with locations to ensure repairs were completed

• Route calls on the computer and tracking completion

• Administrative support to Service Support Managers

• Track calls and manage call volume

• Provide feedback, to the Technical Assistance Group, related to any standard repair processes and policies that needs to be added or updated in the knowledge database

• Perform other duties as assigned
