Position Description:

This key, highly visible, leadership role will primarily be responsible for the financial, profit and loss responsibility and sales and account growthforour cutting edge technology based client.

As you support this key client, you will keep an eye toward business development and service level expansion as well as driving continuous improvement in existing operations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, be able to interface seamlessly with engineers, Ryder and client executives, as well as a plethora of other non-technical folks (financial, transportation management, warehouse leadership, etc.).

  • The customers primary point of contact with Ryder

  • Liaison between Ryder and the customer to ensure service requirements are understood and articulating to customer commitments on new activity

  • Problem solving and leading the team to good root causes as well as corrective actions

  • Assist the On Site dedicated account lead

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation Management or related field is required

  • A minimum of 10 (ten) years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management in a multi-plant manufacturing environment is required.

  • Intermediate level skills with MS Word such as including styles, mail merge, tabs, tables, columns and breaks, graphics, fields, headers and footers, working with margins, page orientation, and spelling/grammar

  • Prior experience making customer and senior level management presentations is also required

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Masters degree preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Areas of responsibility will be warehousing, distribution, dedicated contract carriage (DCC) and carrier management

  • This will involve an area of the business that will manage gross revenues of approximately $130 million and net revenues of approximately $24 million, overseeing several locations and employees

  • The incumbent will maintain a positive employee relation climate and maintain a customer satisfaction index at a World Class Level
