We’re currently hiring for a Transportation Sourcing Manager to be based at our state of the art Transportation Management Center in Fort Worth, TX?
In this role, you will be responsible for developing/refining the procurement strategy for your portfolio of Fortune 500 clients. As you build your strategy, you will work hand-in-hand with strong mentors, talented local operations teams, and supply chain engineers to design, implement, and maintain best in class transportation solutions. You will directly engage with supply chain leaders at your diverse customer base and within many of the nation’s leading transportation service providers. As such, you will develop and maintain a tremendous network of service providers and be responsible to foster the relationship while engaging them on the best opportunities for our mutual success.

Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field of study
Minimum of seven (7) years of industry related experience
Experience with conducting presentations and supervising others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work effectively with others (customers, carriers & Ryder)
Handle and analyze large data files and respond with the customer in mind
Logistics and the ability to integrate supply chain components
TM capabilities - TM, CM, ROL, etc
Perform carrier analysis, create RFP(s), negotiate price and service, and support carrier selection
Prepare presentation and route guide
Interact with internal business and support service teams
Prepare for carrier/client meetings and carrier development
Manage client interaction
Create ISO procedure; maintenance of ISO procedure
Assist manager in training and serves as a mentor to buyers and analyst
Participate in Six Sigma initiatives
Develop procurement strategy to support client savings goals and business requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
