Summary
The Carrier Procurement Representative will be responsible for onboarding, sourcing, securing, and negotiating carriers to contract available and future freight in a cost-effective manner. This role will also be responsible for visiting carriers monthly to expand our book of business and grow our Freight Brokerage business vertical. This individual will act as the liaison between the carriers and our internal Account Executives to ensure proper tracking and automation, along with providing the best solutions for our current and future business.
Essential Functions
Negotiate rates with transportation providers to ensure that margins are achieved for commission targets and account goals
Identifies and develops relationships with transportation providers to ensure adequate coverage maximize penetration of customer freight portfolio through soliciting capacity
Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads to ensure proper all customer's needs are met in the agreed upon time period
Additional Responsibilities
Continuous improvement in all segments of the business
Schedules and dispatches while ensuring compliance of Federal, State, and Local regulations. Responsible for timely updating of load statuses to the TMS.
Maintain a positive employee related climate and maintain a customer satisfaction index at a World Class Level while having availability 24/7/365 for responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
H.S. diploma/GED required
Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field of study
Two (2) years or more business experience required
