Position Description:

The Lease Billing Associate is routinely expected to make decisions in absence of formal guidance or guidelines, and/or interpret guidelines for proper application. This position will be responsible to regularly plan the work of, assign work to, and follow up on the work of other employees, but does not have hire and fire authority.


  • High school diploma or G.E.D required

  • Minimum of 3 (three) years previous work experience

  • Experience in billing and using 10 key Experience in Mainframe applications and FIS

  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot Charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis


  • High school diploma plus occupational specific training

  • (Business school, computer training, junior college classes) usually less than one year or High school diploma plus occupational specific training beyond high school or an AA degree or Two or three years of occupationally-specific training beyond high school or an AA degree, preferred

  • Proven written and verbal skills, ability to multi task with limited supervision, attention to detail, timely follow up, able to meet deadlines

  • The position requires a relatively high level of problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal/communication skills


Process Vehicle Change Notices:

  • End bill, start bill, transfers, and product line changes. Odometer management: customer calls, faxes, e-mails, web odometer and analyze discrepancies. Process continuing charges and miscellaneous billings: weekly, monthly, 4-4-5 Cycle, 13 month cycle, for all full service lease and RPM vehicles

  • Correct exceptions and resolve issues. Review and analyze reports and queries to ensure correct financial impact to revenue: Local vs. HQ's, revenue billed by Central Lease, Unit Revenue by Customer, Fuel and RPM queries, CBU estimated spreadsheet

  • Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts: correct revenue account rejections for lease, RPM, fuel, rebillables, and rental

  • Liaison between customers and CBU Management, i.e.: phone contact, call tracking and resolution of issues between SSC departments

  • Analyzing and interpreting critical data to identify problems and solutions

  • Persuade and negotiate with outsiders in extremely important, sensitive and complex situations, represent Ryder's interests to influential outsiders, or perform other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skills
